1 loaf of brioche bread, sliced 3/4 to 1 inch thick 4 large eggs 1 cup whole milk 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Maple syrup, for serving Fresh berries, for serving
Spray nonstick cooking spray on a large rimmed baking sheet and preheat your oven to 425°F.
To mix the wet components, add the eggs, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a bit of salt in a large basin. mix until all ingredients are completely incorporated.
Soak the bread: Coat each piece of brioche bread evenly on both sides by dipping it into the egg mixture. On the baking sheet that has been prepared, arrange each slice in a single layer.
Add a little butter: To give the bread slices a lovely golden finish while they bake, brush the tops with the melted butter.
Bake: For seven to eight minutes, put the sheet pan in the oven. After that, carefully turn each slice over and continue baking for another 7 to 8 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and puffy.
After taking the French toast out of the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving. For a tasty breakfast, serve warm with fresh berries and maple syrup.
