LeBron James breaks down the real issue with modern youth sports

The 'Chosen One' has been LeBron James since high school. For more than 20 years, the Los Angeles Lakers player has been under a lot of pressure. He is a really generational athlete, as evidenced by the fact that he has both met and exceeded their expectations.

Not all young athletes are LeBron. In contemporary juvenile sports, there has been a tendency for children to begin training excessively at an early age. James explained the issue in an interview with Steve Nash and colleague Luka Doncic for his Mind The Game podcast.

"When we were really little, my guys and I also ran track and field. All the way through high school, we played football. We didn't end it with a single event every year. Additionally, I believe that many children burn out.

"They say, 'F*** the hell with it, I'm done, I don't even want to play no more,' at 22, 23, and 24."Therefore, I do not believe that we ought to limit those children. Man, they ought to be free to simply explore.

The King's assertions are true. Due to the increased profitability of sports and the wider availability of information, children are being forced to train hard from an early age. Anyone who wants to succeed in the game must have a passion for it.

Even though LeBron's viewpoint won't stop the trend from continuing anytime soon, it's still crucial for everyone to remember.
